Late Nights on Air

Over the weekend, I ventured into an antique store and came across the largest selection of unused used books. To my surprise, I found titles that I have been eyeing every time I had stepped into Chapters. So, I loaded up my arms with stacks of books and while I maneuvered my way over to the till, I decided that this would be a good opportunity to start a Book Club. The reasoning behind this start up was that the Book Club would encourage me to read new books and it would give me the opportunity to finally host a High Tea Party. It was decided - I would have a Book Club.
The first book the Club will be reading is Elizabeth Hay's novel 'Late Nights on Air', a Canadian fiction piece awarded the Scotiabank Giller Prize.

Dorothea Lange

This weekend I started reading a book on the life of Dorothea Lange. I got it for Christmas from a special someone, so it had a particular sway over my decision of which book to read next. This 560 page book will likely take up most of my evenings over the next few weeks/months depending on the amount of free time that I will have to read.

Tea Time

Whomever thought of this brilliant idea & decided to share it with the world deserves some serious kudos. This would make writing my essay much more appealing.
I know, I know. Enough with the procrastinating....

To Read or Not to Read

As the Thanksgiving weekend approaches, I have been jumping back and forth deciding what plans I should make. This will be my first solo Thanksgiving and I’m torn as to whether I should visit friends (and their families) in varying cities or if I should embrace the quite weekend and focus on my studies. My class readings have been piling up and have become a constant looming force that has convinced me that I need to set aside some time to sit down with a pot of tea and simply read. Even though I will be reading books strictly for my classes, there is something to be said about a quite space of one’s own to go about your day as you see fit.
The Answer: to Read
