Little White Dress (LWD)

I tend to wear a lot of black during the bleak winter months -- it becomes my uniform. The perfect little black dress (LBD) is always at the top of my list of essential items to own & I am always on the hunt to find as many as possible.
Every year when spring starts to show its colors, my ying turns to yang and I am immediately out on the prowl for the perfect white dress. The ingredients of the perfect LWD involves being chic yet casual, light but not see-though, and something that balances on the line of being suitable for both day and night. If you have yet to guess, I don't own such a dress... but I'm certain that when I find it -- it will be love at first sight!

Socks & Shoes

Socks with heels?
I have to admit, I think the combination is doable, but the question is whether you can pull it off... I can only think of a few people who could make this trend blend seamlessly into an outfit without anyone second guessing the additional fabric on her feet. It's worth a try, but if you're not one to take fashion risks; I suggest taking on a different trend.

D&G Fall 2010

I love the lace bow.
The outfit pictured below is lovely. Pair a fitted tube dress with a lacy dress shirt underneath. Better yet, this look can go from day to night by simply removing the shirt post-work! I have something similar in my closet that I will put together for next week.

Street Style

Outfitted For Every Occasion

This look, spotted at London Fashion Week is sitting in my closet waiting to be worn. I find that I'll purchase something knowing that it would make a great outfit, but then I find myselft being unable to wear it due to the lack of occasion. Maybe when it warms up a little I'll wear my velvet blazer as a jacket.

Braids

Braids are everywhere!
Braids appeared at both Alexander Wang and Miu Miu SS10. Even ZARA's Spring Campaign (shown a few posts below) styled long braids into the model's hair. If you're going to attempt this trend, just make sure the braid is a bit messy.

Ballet

I love this shot even though I cringe at the sight of these shoe(s) (by Nina Ricci?)

Light as a Feather

Look at that skirt!
I've always wanted a feather skirt. I doubt I'd get it in white, even though it would make the outfit look angelic.

HeadBands

I'm in the market for a headband like this one pictured above. It would be nice if it didn't give me a headache by noon too.

Head Gear

Big bows, bunny ears, and hats are popping up on all of the 'fashion-forward'. I don't think I would wear a bow THAT big, but I've never been opposed to adding another piece into the mix to give my outfit that 'little-something-extra'!
